Scope of Application

The WEX Series sidewall (explosion-proof) axial flow fan, also known as the DWEX sidewall fan (with SEF being the commonly used model), features advanced forward-curved blades and a direct-drive system powered by a low-noise, fan-specific motor. Its square-shaped housing design allows for easy installation on concrete walls, brick walls, or lightweight steel profiled wall panels. The robust square rainproof cover not only ensures durability but also enhances the fan's sleek, modern appearance. This fan boasts several key advantages: low noise levels, high airflow capacity, reliable operation, a wide range of performance parameters, and straightforward installation. As a result, it is widely used for sidewall ventilation and air exchange in industrial and mining plant workshops, as well as in residential and commercial construction projects. Additionally, depending on the specific requirements of the medium being conveyed, the fan can be customized into either corrosion-resistant or explosion-proof versions.
The WEX (SEF) series of fans are typically used for sidewall exhaust ventilation, equipped with a 45° rain shield (or custom-made at a 60° angle) and an insect-proof mesh (which prevents insects from entering the workshop at night by following light sources). Optionally, these fans can also be configured as sidewall supply models designated WSP, featuring a 90° rain shield (protecting against wind, rain, and dust) and an additional insect-proof mesh (again, keeping insects out of the workshop at night when attracted to lights).
Optional accessory: Gravity-type check air valve, commonly known as a louver (which ensures the workshop remains isolated from the outside when the fan is off). Please specify when placing your order.
